MainX24 Christmas Parade!

The first Saturday of every December in Chattanooga is hands-down one of the most magical days of the year. The city comes alive as Main Street and downtown transform into a 24-hour holiday extravaganza, kicking off the Christmas season with lights, laughter, and a whole lot of cheer!

At REconnect Nature School, we’ve been buzzing with excitement for the past week, cutting, gluing, and painting our hearts out in preparation for the kick off event of Mainx24- The Christmas Parade!

Each year our kiddos get to pick the theme. Last year, we brought The Wild Robot to life. This year, we leaned into the spooky side of the season with The Nightmare Before Christmas. We crafted a coffin sleigh, stuffed a trash can with presents, and transformed into creatures straight from your favorite nightmares. The iconic soundtrack blasted from our speaker as we paraded down Main Street, sharing coloring sheets and crayons.

Events like this remind us why we do what we do. It’s not just about creating fun art projects or dazzling parade floats. It’s about building community, sparking joy, and giving our kids a chance to see their imagination come to life and bring joy to our city. Every cheer, every smile, and every shared laugh makes the hours of preparation more than worth it, and leaves all of us looking forward to next December’s magic.
