6-12th ELA Facilitator

REconnect Nature School is actively seeking an ELA Learning Facilitator for the 2026/27 School Year.

Description:

REconnect Nature School is seeking an innovative, collaborative educator who believes learning is most meaningful when it is curiosity-driven, interdisciplinary, and centered on the individual learner. Our ELA Facilitators work as part of a collaborative teaching team to design engaging, cross-curricular learning experiences that connect literacy with science, social studies, art, technology, and the natural world.

The ideal candidate is excited to create student-centered lessons for diverse learners, teach creatively in small-group settings, and cultivate educational experiences that empower students to take ownership of their learning. We value educators who are interested in exploring and expanding progressive educational philosophies such as Constructivism, the Reggio Emilia approach, and Montessori, adapting these ideas to meet the needs of older students in a nature-based, project-focused environment.

Responsibilities include facilitating ELA instruction, leading a student book club every six weeks, collaborating with colleagues within our STEAM framework, and helping develop innovative learning spaces that reflect your own passions and expertise. We are looking for someone who enjoys building relationships beyond the classroom through partnerships with local organizations and community members, and who is excited by opportunities to contribute to REconnect's community-based programs, which offer additional paid opportunities outside of the regular school day.

If you are passionate about reimagining education, value collaboration, and believe students learn best through curiosity, connection, and authentic experiences, we'd love to hear from you.
